Featured AV Technology Walking Tour Zones
AVI Systems offers a unique opportunity to see a variety of the latest technologies integrated into real world environments. We use this technology everyday in order to work efficiently and effectively. Click links to get a glimpse of what you will see in each AV technology zone.
Details on each AV Technology Walking Tour Zones:
Executive Boardroom
This elegant yet hard-working room features the latest control solution by AMX, including room signage. This room offers that ability to compare a Hitachi Widescreen projector and motorized screen solution, with a Samsung 63” LCD display, by just selecting an icon on the color AMX touch panel.
Integrated in this room is Cisco HD telepresence, and the newest “lipstick” style wireless microphones by Revolabs. Center stage is a beautiful Nevers table, specifically designed for video conferencing and features two Extron table interfaces.
Come experience a well-designed, multi-purpose meeting space.

Collaboration Interactive Whiteboard
Our AVI Systems engineers use this room for brainstorming sessions and training. Using the new, short-throw projector/ interactive whiteboard from Smart Technologies, they have powerful tools for presentation, idea mapping, and discussion points along with the ability to save the drawings and annotations resulting from the meeting.
We have a small wall plate that allows other video sources such as a DVD/VCR to be played through the projector and speaker.

Video Conference Room
This room represents the most common configuration of video conferencing technology found today. You’ll see one LCD monitor. A Lifesize video conference codec is integrated behind the LCD, minimizing the equipment that is exposed. It has several display modes that can allow a user to see a window with the far side (your conference partners), and one which shows you or information (such as PowerPoint) that’s being shared. This system makes use of an IP (network) connection.
Making this room easy to use is a room control solution by Extron. There is a color touch screen that allows the user to power all the room’s equipment on/off, start a video conference, raise and lower volume and other key functions. This video conference room provides a great space for small groups of about 4-5 people.

Video Conferencing - Executive Office
The technology showcased in this office could and should be used by anyone who is managing multiple people located in different offices. Our Regional Vice-President, Jane Phillips uses this technology everyday.
The Cisco executive video conference unit is an elegant, integrated solution that provides a monitor, built-in microphone and camera all designed for one-to-one virtual meetings. AVI System’s president, Jeff Stoebner uses the system several times a day to talk with Jane. It’s a much more effective and personal way to communicate than the telephone and since we have a dedicated VPN, costs less then picking up the phone.
Jane travels between the New Berlin and Madison AVI Systems offices, so having this on both of her desks helps her stay in touch with people in each office, even when she isn’t there. We also have Smart Technologies Bridgit software on Jane’s laptop computer. This allows her to share information easily and quickly with any of her salespeople, no matter where anyone is, as long as they have internet connectivity.

Sound Masking
Today’s “cubicle farms” are causing significant audio problems in work environments. Sound masking is a technology that provides “pink noise” in an area that effectively makes other noises less noticeable, and makes conversations from adjacent spaces less intelligible. The human ear gradually tunes out the pink noise as well. It increases speech privacy, reduces noise disruptions and improves the overall comfort of the space, increasing concentration and productivity. The sound masking solution from Cambridge consists of ceiling speakers placed above the acoustical ceiling controlled from programmable panel located out of sight. We have this system installed over our very talkative salespeople’s cubes! It has definitely helped both the noise and sanity levels in our office!

Room Signage
For organizations that have multiple conference rooms, training rooms and other meeting spaces, it can be difficult to schedule and then disseminate information about what meeting is where?
We offer two different solutions, the AMX and the Crestron solution for your review.

Training and Presentation Room
This room contains just about every technology solution desired in today’s training and presentation environment. It is designed for an individual trainer or presenter, working with a large group, and running their own show. A state of the art room control system by Crestron, controls everything in the room, ranging from Brightline’s video conferencing lighting, to the volume of the dual mode sound system. This full featured room has a built-in web presentation system by Sonic Foundry, a high-lumen, high-definition Hitachi projector, Draper motorized screen, microphone support, Polycom HD video conference codec, Clear One audio conference system and a Wolfvision high resolution document camera. We use this room often, for both in-house training, large group meetings, and of course, customer presentations.

Digital Signage
The applications for digital signage range from Visitor Welcome to Cafeteria Menus. This powerful communications tool can drive sales, create revenue, enhance your image and even entertain.
Throughout our facility, we have several LCD’s showing our internal AVIiew channel, used to promote AVI Systems and communicate to our 14 regional offices. In our lobby, we have utilized our HiView digital banner solution that greets our visitors with powerful and compelling graphics. The equipment showcases NEC LCDs’ and our Digital Media Group’s powerful 6 channel digital media player.
The content has been created using Scala digital signage software – the most mature and dynamic solution available. AVI Systems’ Digital Media Group provides content hosting, with a centralized server located in Minneapolis. Our experts can create custom video walls in any size or shape, and provide premier services such as hosting, content development, and Help Desk.

Interactive Kiosk
Using the same digital signage software that powers our lobby displays, we have created a turn-key building and personnel directory kiosk. This four button solution allows a visitor to select a category with a touch of the screen, bringing up an alphabetized listing. We can customize the kiosk itself with multiple color and graphic overlay options.
Our DMG team can also create custom touchscreen solutions.
