Maintenance Technician
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Maintenance Technician - Shall primarily provide remote and phone assistance to Sandia's videoconference and collaborative technologies customers. Troubleshoots problems over the phone and isolates the problem to a specific system, piece of equipment or component and makes necessary arrangements for the repair of the system. Should be intimately familiar with industry standard test equipment, tools and software and understand the proper application of those tools.
QUALIFICATIONS
Greater than three years experience in videoconference system support or help desk support in a heterogeneous, multi-vendor collaborative environment. Must have training on Polycom and Tandberg codecs and bridges as a minimum; excellent skills in working with customers; and excellent phone skills. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must have excellent verbal (including telephone) and written communications skills. Experience in the Sandia collaborative environment is desirable.
