System Sales Engineer (S/E)
POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Systems Sales Engineer partners with our Sales Teams in various ways in a pre-sales technical role, providing technical consultancy and specialized support to augment the sales effort. This individual will possess a broad knowledge of technologies and applications in a variety of vertical/enterprise markets. In addition to technological aptitude, must have the ability to learn quickly and stay current with emerging technologies; the ideal candidate's interpersonal, presentation and troubleshooting skills evoke passion and confidence.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Giving demonstrations and technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects showcasing AV product solutions

Explaining features/benefits to customers and designing and configuring products to meet specific customer needs

Assists with the development of formal sales plans and proposals; may have direct customer interaction through the life cycle of a sale

Technical training in house

Utilization of customer feedback for product development
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

5+ years related experience in a Pre-Sales role is required

Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent
-
CTS or CTS-D required, CCNP, CCDP certifications a plus
-
Expert level knowledge of video conferencing products, unified communications and industry as a whole
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must understand the role that Microsoft and Cisco play in unified communication. Selected candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication, listening and strong presentation skills as well as the ability to work effectively and add value as a team member. Demonstrated consultative and problem solving skills to assess a problem an effective course of action required.
LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN or Chicago, IL. Willing to travel is required.
