Broadcast & Production

AVI Systems has designed, engineered, installed and serviced professional broadcast and production equipment for a multitude of clients ranging from corporate studios, universities and city governments to video production companies and cable broadcasting networks.

Lights, Camera, Action!

This full studio production environment at Northwestern College has everything a broadcast team needs to cut a show. Production equipment allows studio operators to control all cameras, monitor and check sound, run and cut video, and broadcast content to internal and external networks.

Audio Production

We also provided Northwestern College with a production room focused on audio broadcasting. Equipment includes a digital audio console, a non-linear console, dual computer connections, and AVID non-linear production capabilities.

The Barco “Wonder Wall”

For Shop NBC, we designed and installed a Barco video wall, used to run all cameras from three different studios. Operators can monitor the wall and switch what’s live and what’s being fed in from other areas.

Barco Wall Controllers

At several stations throughout the control room, we installed control panels that include video switchers, audio mixers, and tape operators.

University TV Studio

At St. Thomas University in St. Paul, MN, AVI Systems designed, engineered, and built a professional television studio with three broadcast quality cameras, plasma video screen on the back wall, professional grade studio lighting, and a screen teleprompter.

Learning the Production Ropes

The St. Thomas video production room mirrors a full-scale, high-tech broadcast studio, with all of the same pieces on a smaller scale. Two 42” screens at the front of the room act like a video wall with multiple views of all cameras. Control panels offer full fledged AVID production switching and editing with audio video editing, switching, mixing and editing capabilities.

Video Conferencing Control

For the University of Wisconsin, Madison’s Health Center, we designed and installed a master control room. The room is equipped with a Polycom video conferencing system and master control units to monitor all video conferencing systems throughout the entire building.

Broadcast Equipment

At the University of Minnesota (U of M) in Minneapolis, MN, we designed and built a small-scale television studio with broadcast quality cameras, studio lighting, and a presentation screen used to support campus news reporting.

Production Equipment

The production side of the U of M television studio includes computerized switchers, AVID non-linear editing, and preview/program console monitors with studio camera control.
