We have a long history of success integrating audio visual technologies at colleges, universities, and other educational organizations across the country. From high-tech and distance learning classrooms to auditorium presentation technologies, below are just a few examples of our exciting forays into the world of academia.

 

Distance Learning

The professional team at AVI Systems designed and built this large auditorium-style distance learning classroom for Central Michigan University. Technologies include: wall mounted video cameras; audio distribution system; multi-screen rear-projection video wall; document camera at the teacher station, along with touch screen control panel to control lighting, audio and video.

Behind the Scenes Support

The control room supporting CMU’s distance learning auditorium also controls all audio video equipment throughout multiple classrooms and presentation environment. Operators can monitor and control cameras, audio systems, and lighting, as well as offer troubleshooting for technical difficulties.

Education Takes Center Stage

For Kalamazoo College in Michigan, AVI Systems engineered and integrated a theater auditorium with full presentation technology and audio distribution. Technologies include large front-projection presentation screen; speakers integrated throughout the entire auditorium; and control room capabilities to control audio, video and lighting.

Smart Students, SMART™ Classroom

Marquette Business School contracted us to add an interactive whiteboard to their already high-tech, computer-based finance class. This very smart addition includes a front projection system, presentation capabilities and remote control.

High-Tech Distance Learning

We worked with the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, to design, engineer and build a state-of-the-art distance learning classroom. Technologies include a single front-projection presentation screen, along with 4 wall-mounted monitors in front and 2 monitors toward the back, allowing all students to see the presentations. The room also offers video conferencing capabilities, audio throughout, and a touch screen control panel for lights, audio, and video.

Auditorium Technology

For the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, we designed and built this large venue presentation classroom. Technologies include one large front-projection presentation screen; audio distribution system; and a podium touch screen control panel to control audio, video, and lighting.

Keeping It Simple

This simple interactive distance learning classroom at Kalamazoo College offers dual front-projection presentation screens; ceiling microphones; wall mounted video cameras; an equipment rack; and a mobile document camera. A control panel at the teacher’s station controls audio, video and lighting.

Large Venue Learning

For the University of Wisconsin’s health services center, we designed, engineered and built a large scale auditorium classroom. Technologies include: dual front-projection presentation screens; audio distribution system; recessed control panels with electrical and internet connections; and a touch screen control panel for audio, video and lighting.

Interactive Classroom Technology

AVI Systems integrated the following technologies into this interactive classroom: rear-projection screen with multi-presentation capability; document camera; and touch screen panel for presentation and lighting control.

Video Production Studio

Many campuses have small-scale TV studios with associated production rooms. For this university, we designed and built a production studio with console monitors to check studio cameras, computerized switchers, audio video monitoring and editing, and preview/program monitoring.
