AVI Achieves Silver Status in Microsoft’s Cloud Productivity Competency

Microsoft November 1, 2016

AVI achieves Silver status in Microsoft’s Cloud Productivity Competency, enabling AVI to architect, implement and support Microsoft cloud collaboration platforms that include Microsoft Office 365, Cloud Skype for Business as well as additional enterprise voice solutions.

“This really gives us the ability to deliver an end-to-end collaboration 'experience' to our customers,” explained CEO of AVI, Jeff Stoebner. “For years our industry has been chasing down this idea of pervasive collaboration, where individuals and teams can work together seamlessly without even thinking about the technology. Microsoft has continually impacted the collaboration space with Skype for Business, Office 365 and Enterprise Voice in the Cloud. AVI is in a unique position to bring this all together with AVI’s integration practices, Microsoft’s Cloud Productivity Competency and existing partnerships with leading device providers such as Polycom.”

Steven Boyle, vice president of U.S. Partner Strategy and Programs at Microsoft Corp. said, “AVI brings the ability to deliver on more than just an application. It brings the ability to deliver a complete experience to our mutual customers that combines cloud productivity, video collaboration and enterprise voice into the integrated meetings space.”

AVI has been at the forefront of video integration with voice and collaboration. AVI integrated the first known instance of Microsoft Lync with standards-based video including Polycom and Cisco in 2012. Since then, AVI has been delivering solutions that bring together Skype for Business, voice, video, and meeting room experiences for federal agencies, healthcare and enterprise-wide commercial customers.

“Polycom's long standing partnership with AVI Systems has created an improved collaboration experience for our customers,” said Rob Hornish, Americas Sales President at Polycom. “Organizations migrating to Microsoft’s Office 365 can count on AVI Systems and Polycom to deliver the most complete audio and video experience available today.”

Microsoft competencies differentiate a partner’s specific technology capabilities, helping customers find qualified solution providers with expertise in discrete areas quickly and easily. Specifically, the Cloud Productivity competency is for partners specializing in enterprise deployments of Office 365. AVI’s specialty in this competency is the integration of AV, videoconferencing, and voice across the enterprise.  Bringing together teams that meet in conference spaces, individuals that connect through mobility, and a simple workflow that makes it easy for knowledge workers to adopt the technology.
